“Cyril Colnik, Man of Iron” follows Milwaukee’s genius wrought iron designer Cyril Colnik from his birth in Austria, to his presentation at the Chicago’s World’s Fair and eventual home and workshop in Milwaukee with highlights from the Villa Terrace collection as well as examples throughout greater Milwaukee.

About the Speaker:

Alan J. Strekow is the author/editor designer of CYRIL COLNIK, MAN OF IRON, the definitive work on renowned wrought iron designer Cyril Colnik. Mr. Strekow is a founding member and former Board President of the Friends of Villa Terrace. He was involved with the original exhibition of Colnik’s ironwork at Villa Terrace in 1993, as well as its recreation in 2006. In addition, he was a member of the team that created a visual program about the life of Cyril Colnik in 1988.
